<p> Part-time Contract Position (15-20 hours/week)</p> <p> Reports to: Executive Director</p> <p> <strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> Under the direction of the Executive Director DignityUSA&rsquo;s Program Manager is responsible for helping to implement programs that support the organization&rsquo;s mission and strategic plan. This position is grant-funded and continued employment is dependent upon availability of funds. Specific job functions include:</p> <p> &bull; Managing a range of projects that support DignityUSA programs including national conventions publications internet-based projects fund-raising/donor relations and participation in coalition work;</p> <p> &bull; Helping to build and mobilize a network of Pro-LGBT Catholics through outreach to various communities developing appropriate and effective communication tools and maintaining relationships;</p> <p> &bull; Identifying issues in the media and public forums that merit DignityUSA involvement;</p> <p> &bull; Drafting press releases;</p> <p> &bull; Ensuring DignityUSA maintains a strong social media presence;</p> <p> &bull; Providing logistical support for DignityUSA&rsquo;s role as a partner in Equally Blessed (e.g. schedule meetings manage communication with other partners develop and disseminate resource materials)</p> <p> This position may require occasional travel. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed.</p> <p> DignityUSA&rsquo;s offices are located in Boston MA but we are willing to consider candidates working in other locations.</p> <p> The position requires a person able to manage multiple projects juggle deadlines work independently and deal with a range of personalities. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain focus on long-range goals while paying attention to detail. Strong computer and communication skills are needed.
