DignityUSA offered this input to Synod Study Group 9 in a spirit of prayerful dialogue, faithful witness and deep love for the Catholic Church. As an organization of LGBTQIA+ Catholics, our families and our allies, we brought the lived experience of those who have long sought to remain fully part of the Church while navigating questions of identity, relationship, conscience and belonging. Our voices arise from decades of active participation in parish life, ministry and service.

We responded to the Synod’s invitation to listen carefully to the People of God by sharing insights rooted in conscience, theological reflection and pastoral reality. We hope this contribution will assist the Church in discerning pathways toward greater inclusion and dignity for all.
