<span style=font-size: 12px>March 20 2011—San Antonio TX. Dignity/San Antonio an organization of gay lesbian bisexual and transgender Catholics and our supporters is shocked by the hateful and discriminatory remarks made by Bexar County Democratic party chair Dan Ramos in a March 11 interview with the San Antonio Current.

<span style=font-size: 12px> As Catholics we are taught to stand up against injustice hate and discrimination. That is why we stand with other members of our community and denounce these vicious remarks. We know that Christ himself spoke out against injustice. We take into consideration that the Bible teaches against discrimination as in Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek there is neither slave nor free there is no male and female for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

<span style=font-size: 12px>We pray for all those affected by Mr. Dan Ramos’ words of hate. We pray for healing for both the community affected and Dan Ramos himself. We recognize the diversity and beauty in all God’s people and creation. We as an organization will continue to advocate against hate and injustice in our community and within the Catholic Church.
