Dignity/San Antonio celebrated the holidays with two events that have become part of the long-standing tradition of our community. In November we held our annual Fall Ball at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown San Antonio. The event is not a fund raiser for us but merely a chance to dress up and enjoy an evening of dinner and dance among our friends. It was all that to be sure; and due to outstanding ticket selling by members of our community we had one of our best turnouts ever which made the evening all the more enjoyable. In December we held a progressive dinner with appetizers entrees and desserts hosted by three different members of Dignity. The variety of food the hospitality of our members and the fellowship enjoyed by all made for a festive celebration in anticipation of Christmas.

Our community continues to be blessed. Our members are generously giving of themselves for the benefit of the organization and we enjoy the support of several wonderful priests who take turns coming on Sunday to celebrate Mass with us.

This spring we are planning a picnic in April which will double as an opportunity to get together with a couple of other LGBT faith-based organizations in San Antonio. In addition we are planning a fund raiser to help us attend the 2015 Convention in Seattle which will be upon us before we all know it.

As always we extend an invitation to anyone who may be in the San Antonio area to join us for liturgy Sundays at 5:30 pm. We would love to show you our Texas hospitality!
