Dignity/Philadelphia tries to maintain its usual level of activity not only within the chapter but also within the LGBT Community. Some of our recent activities included:

We attended Gay Community Day at the Camden Riversharks (minor league baseball team)

We continue our monthly volunteering with Broad Street Ministry helping to feed hundreds of homeless people; we also collect trial-sized toiletries that are given out by Broad Street Ministries.

We held our annual Welcome Back potluck. We hold 3 potlucks each year. Our potluck in September is held in honor/memory of Clyde Sams a former president of our chapter who passed from HIV/AIDS complications 15 years ago.

Executive Director Marianne Duddy-Burke stopped by our chapter on Sunday September 22 as she was in the Philly area.

Finally Dignity Philadelphia is proud to announce that it is going to be one of the two organizations to receive the 2013 OutProud Community Group award. This award is being presented by Philly Pride Presents during its annual Outfest celebration on October 13 2013. Dignity/Philadelphia is grateful and humbled by this honor.

For the last 23 years Philly Pride Presents has been organizing Philadelphia's Outfest to commemorate National Coming Out Day. It will feature scores of vendors community groups a flea market food a dance area live entertainment and so much more.
