Dignity/Indianapolis Supports Expansion of Civil Rights in Indiana

<p>Dignity/Indianapolis announced its support for amending Indiana law to ex- pand civil rights protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in anticipa- tion of the upcoming 2016 state legislative session. &nbsp;Inspired by our Catholic tradition our members accept the Gospel call to strive against social and economic inequality. As&nbsp;citizens we recognize a civic responsibility to support laws that safeguard the rights of all people including the LGBTQ community said Steve Follis president of Dignity/Indianapolis.</p> <p>In a special way Dignity/Indianapolis makes known its support for transgender Hoosiers and expresses hope that the Indiana General Assembly will give renewed consideration to the welfare of transgender citizens this coming year.
