<p><img alt= src=/sites/default/files/logos/Boston_0.jpg style=width: 120px; height: 89px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; float: right; />Dignity/Boston made a foray into the corporate world in celebration of National Coming Out Day. The chapter was invited to send representatives to speak at the Boston office of Ernst &amp; Young (EY) a global leader in assurance tax transaction and advisory services. Ernst &amp; Young is also known as one of the &ldquo;Big Four&rdquo;: the world&rsquo;s four largest accounting firms. This was the company&rsquo;s first such event sponsored by their LGBT and allies group Beyond.</p> <!--break--> <p>The EY website explains that Beyond is &ldquo;an internal network that supports and promotes an LGBT-inclusive culture at Ernst &amp; Young.&rdquo; The group has active chapters across the US and Canada involving more than 1600 members in over 60 locations with more groups forming as the need arises. Lourdes Rodriguez-Nogues represented Dignity on the panel. Joining her was Terrell Jordan an EY partner and Pam Garramone Executive Director of PFLAG of Greater Boston.</p> <p>The evening began with food drinks and socializing with EY staff and guests. The panel followed with each member sharing his or her story how their particular group reaches out to the wider LGBT community and the role our allies can play. Questions and answers followed.</p> <p>During both the social and the Q and A attendees expressed curiosity about the integration of LGBT identity and Catholic faith. Lourdes used the opportunity to answer those questions and communicate Dignity&rsquo;s mission and outreach.</p>
