Celebrating 41 Years of Dignitys Presence in the Nations Capital

<p><img alt= src=/sites/default/files/images/CommunityService_0.png style=float:right; height:173px; margin:5px; width:150px />Dignity/Washington celebrated its 41st Anniversary with pride gratitude and gusto with a dinner silent auction and community service awards presentation on September 28 at the Dignity Center. Attendees had the option of either bringing a food item to the potluck table or paying a bit more for the price of admission. This arrangement turned out very well as there was more sumptuous food to enjoy than anyone would have thought possible.</p> <p>A Silent Auction of over eighty donated items yielded proceeds of over $6000 for Dignity/Washington&rsquo;s general fund.</p> <p>Award recipients included <strong>Tom Yates</strong> (President&rsquo;s Award); <strong>Mark Clark</strong> (John Willig Award); and <strong>John Fegan Maurice Lapierre Len Latham Tom McMahon Ernie Raskauskas</strong> and <strong>the Shipps family</strong> (Community Service Awards).<strong> Tom Little</strong> Pastoral Associate to Bishop Rozanski from the Office of the Seton Vicar Archdiocese of Baltimore received the Veronica &amp; Gerald Colfer Award given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the broader LGBT community.</p>
