I am writing this piece just hours after the conclusion of a unique conference on Religion and Diplomacy sponsored by the State Department’s Office of Religion and Global Affairs... This two-day event brought together 300 people representing dozens of faith communities, diplomatic staff, theologians, human rights workers, international aid workers, United Nations staff, and high-level members of the Obama administration.

Become a Guardian Angel!

 
From September 29 through October 2, DignityUSA conducted a campaign to increase the number of Guardian Angels (sustaining monthly donors) in our midst by 10%. Guardian Angels choose the amount they want to contribute each month, and the gift is automatically charged to a credit or debit card.

Membership Renewals

 
Starting in October, renewal notices will go out via email. Members may receive up to three notices at renewal time: two months before the anniversary date, a month after the anniversary, and two months after the anniversary.

Trans Caucus:  How Can You Help?

 

In 2012, the Trans Caucus sent a survey to all chapters. The chapters that responded gave the caucus valuable information needed for the future. The future is now!

One question on the survey was, “Would your chapter be willing to host a table at a nearby Trans Conference?” Many chapters responded positively, saying they would be glad to help.

Dignity/Boston Is Out on the Road

 
Chapter teams participated in the 14th annual Harbor to the Bay fundraising bicycle ride to benefit four Massachusetts HIV/AIDS organizations, and walked in the Boston Arthritis Walk “with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts,” as locally-famous training ride leader Bobby Mac would say.
