DignityUSA Operations Manager Peggy Burns has announced her intention to retire at the end of this year. In addition to serving in this key role for over 12 years, Peggy has also served DignityUSA as Secretary, Vice President, National Director and Regional Coordinator. She has also been a longtime leader in Dignity/Boston, and helped to develop some of the most memorable and effective Leadership Trainings offered in conjunction with DignityUSA national conferences. Peggy’s exceptional leadership was recognized with the Kevin Calegari award in 2009. “Peggy’s role within the Dignity community cannot be overstated,” said Executive Director Marianne Duddy-Burke. “She knows this organization as well as anyone, and has developed close relationships with countless members, donors, Chapter and Caucus leaders throughout the decades. She is a valued, caring, and wise colleague, and a genuinely good person. While we certainly wish her an enjoyable retirement, she and her depth of knowledge will be greatly missed.”
Peggy said, “I am grateful to have had this opportunity to work with such dedicated people. After a break, I look forward to finding new ways to support our wonderful organization.” You can send Peggy a message of appreciation through December 20, 2019. Your comments and well wishes will be presented to her at the end of the year.
