DignityUSA once again joins with individuals and organizations across the globe to mark World AIDS Day. Today, we recall the 24 million individuals throughout the world whose lives have been cut short by this disease, and we reflect on the people left behind--orphaned children, beloved partners, bereft parents, siblings, family and friends.
DignityUSA Urges Catholics to Participate in World AIDS Day
Washington, DC, November 24, 1997 — DignityUSA urges all of the Catholic bishops, priests and ministers of the United States to actively participate in World AIDS Day (December 1) an important step to implementing Always Our Children.
Vision Statement
DignityUSA envisions and works for a time when Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Catholics are affirmed and experience dignity through the integration of their spirituality with their sexuality, and as beloved persons of God participate fully in all aspects of life within the Church and Society.
