Some of you might be aware that Bishop Wilton Gregory, President of the USCCB, was interviewed Sunday morning by George Stephanopoulos on his ABC program "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

DignityUSA is very happy to see that Bishop Gregory stated he wants to refrain from scapegoating gay priests. We think this means he heard what DignityUSA was saying, under the leadership of Marianne Duddy and Pat McArron, with the support of the GLAAD communication team. This is a good example of how we can amplify our voice and speak for those who can't speak for themselves. DignityUSA should be proud of our leadership and should be proud that we had a part in changing the stance taken by Bishop Gregory.
We must continue to pray for the bishops, that they become open to the Spirit of our loving God and end all statements of hate towards us.
