To the Dignity community:
From time to time, member chapters of Dignity have requested copies of the new DignityUSA logo for use in publications, advertisements, T-shirts, and their own websites. DignityUSA is pleased to make them available for such uses. Below you will find information about using the DignityUSA logo, as well as several options for downloading it to your computer.
Click here for instructions on using the DignityUSA logo with your chapter name.
Please note: The DignityUSA logo is a trademark of DignityUSA, Inc., and should be used only in connection with DignityUSA or its local chapters. Organizations outside of Dignity who wish to use the logo are asked to contact the Dignity Vice President for permission.
Here are a few general guidelines for usage of the new DignityUSA logo. They are meant to help maintain consistent use of the national logo in Dignity chapters that wish to use it in their own marketing materials. Consistent treatment of the logo will build brand identity for our organization, thus creating a singular image of DignityUSA in the minds of our members and the public at large.
Colors. The logo is designed in three colors: Pantone 281 (blue), Pantone 240 (lavender), and Pantone 124 (gold). Since consistent usage of a logo builds brand recognition, the logo should be printed only in those colors, in CMYK approximations of those colors, or in one solid color (preferably Pantone 281 blue).
For Web design, the best HTML color matches are #003366 (blue), #CC3399 (lavender), and #FFCC00 (gold).
Tagline. The DignityUSA logo contains the tagline "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Catholics" (above right). But when displaying in very small spaces such as the stitching on hats/polo shirts, or in small Web graphics, where the tagline could become muddied the version without the tagline (right) may be preferable.
Backgrounds. Please use the DignityUSA logo on a white background whenever possible. If the design requires that it be placed on a colored background, it must be on a light or neutral color, or on a texture that is as unobtrusive as possible. Rule of thumb: If the "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Catholics" tagline is hard to read, the background is too dark.
Dark backgrounds. If the logo needs to be placed on a dark background, it is preferable to use a background that is dark blue (closest match to Pantone 281). In such cases, the blue type must knock out to white to remain legible (right).
Trademark. The trademark (TM) symbol should accompany the DignityUSA logo in all situations.

Please review the instructions below to download a file format that is appropriate for your project. Trying to print a T-shirt with a file intended only for use on the Web, for example, could result in a blurry-looking T-shirt! Please note that all file formats below are primarily for use on Windows-compatible PCs, but should also work on Macintosh computers.
Note that all of these logos assume a white background. If you need a logo with white type to place on a dark background, please contact webmanager@dignityusa.org.
To download logos: Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) on the links below and choose the option that allows you to save the file to your hard drive: either "Save Target As ", "Save As ", or "Save Link As "., depending on your browser. Save the file to your C:\ drive or desktop (do not open). Open Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, or another desktop publishing program and "Insert Picture File" or "Place" as you would any other graphic. (Tip: simply double-clicking the file icon may not open the file unless you have a graphic program such as Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia FreeHand, or Adobe Photoshop. Don't panic…you might still be able to work with it.)

(Tip: simply double-clicking will not open the file unless you have a vector-art program such as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia FreeHand.)
When displaying in very small spaces such as the stitching on hats/polo shirts, where the tagline could become muddied you may want to download the version without the tagline (color).
Click to download a compressed high-resolution .TIF file in color (RGB format). Save it to your C:\ drive (do not open) and "Insert Picture File" into Microsoft PowerPoint or another multimedia program. (Tip: simply double-clicking will not open the file unless you have Adobe Photoshop or another graphics program on your computer.)
.JPEG is a popular file format that can be used in a variety of programs, including MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, or websites. Note that the colors do not "separate" well when printed, so it is inadvisable to use JPEGs on T-shirts or other textiles.
Click to download a .JPEG file in color (RGB format) or black-and-white (RGB format). Save it to your C:\ drive (do not open) and "Insert Picture File" into your program. (Tip: simply double-clicking will not open the file unless you have Adobe Photoshop or another graphics program on your computer.)
Right-click on one of the .GIF images below and "Download" or "Save" file to your C:\ drive. (Or, on a Macintosh, control-click and select "Download Image to Disk".) You may then "Insert" into a Web layout program such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Dreamweaver, or create a link in straight HTML, and upload to your ISP's Web server. Please set BORDER="0" in the Image source code.
