National Board of Directors Convene via Teleconferences

The DignityUSA Board of Directors has been meeting via teleconference calls to accomplish the job of formulating committees and assessing the progress of the work on the Strategic Plan.

The February 20th call involved reporting on the progress of forming committees. DignityUSA members who have indicated an interest in volunteering have been contacted to work on committees.  Although each committee has 3-4 members, there is always room for more if you are interested.  The marketing committee is still looking for graphic designers to help create new materials.  (Contact secretary@dignityusa.org if you would like to join a committee.)

Time was also spent discussing the new fundraising donation match program.  Contact the national office by email info@dignityusa.org or by phone 1-800-877-8797, or check the DignityUSA website for more information on this program or to participate.

A second teleconference call was held on March 15th. Committee work was updated. A motion clarifying the definition of a voting member was discussed (and since passed).  The national office and the fundraising committee are working on ways to facilitate accurate membership lists.  Upcoming elections were also discussed.

The directors will be gathering in person the weekend of April 21-23, 2006 in Washington, DC.

Happy Anniversary & Congratulations to:

DignityUSA Discussion Lists

General Discussions: dignity-l@yahoogroups.com

This list is for members and friends of DignityUSA. Discussions should focus on subjects of interest to members of DignityUSA. Private discussions unrelated to DignityUSA should not be sent to this list; neither should more general discussions on either the correctness or incorrectness of Catholicism or homosexuality. Please remember that while this list carries DignityUSA's name, the opinions expressed are those of the authors and not of DignityUSA, unless otherwise noted.

Women's Topics

This list is sponsored by the Committee for Women's Concerns (CWC) for the discussion of women's issues. To sign up:

Transgendered Topics

The purpose of this list is to provide an opportunity for transgender individuals within DignityUSA to explore questions about issues of spirituality and acceptance both within DignityUSA and the society as a whole. We hope, given the relatively small numbers of transgender persons in the world, that being able to network with each other by way of this list will help in the establishment of a sense of community between transgender members of DignityUSA. We also hope it serves as a resource for DignityUSA as a whole to find out information about being transgender. To sign up:

Bisexual Topics

This list is for discussion of issues related to bisexuality. To sign up:
