On
Sunday, March 11 during the Board of Directors Meeting in Chicago,
a special reception was held to honor Jim Green & Bill Diederich
"In Appreciation
of Faithful and Generous Support." Not only have Jim & Bill
dedicated themselves over the years to the mission of Dignity,
they have also given to DignityUSA the largest single donation
to date, $52,000! To thank them for their dedication and commitment
as well as their generous financial support, Mary Louise Cervone
presented Jim & Bill with a beautiful
etched glass plaque declaring them "Perpetual Members of DignityUSA."
Thank
you Jim & Bill! You are an inspiration to us all.

National
Board Hard at Work
The
National Board of Directors met in Chicago March 9-11. The primary focus
of attention was on the proposed changes to our bylaws that will be
the topic of discussion at the House of Delegates meeting just prior
to the Convention in Chicago. The directors have spent hundreds of hours
working on the re-imagining of Dignity in compliance with the will of
the House of Delegates, meeting in Denver two years ago, to help us
all effectively carry out our message well into this new millennium.
The directors met for 2 hours on Friday night, and spent all of Saturday
from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm breaking only for lunch. Chris Pett and Fr. Tom
facilitated the meeting.
The directors
wrapped up their work on Sunday. The details of this very important
board meeting will be mailed to the chapters for their review prior
to the convention in July.

subject of bisexuality. All chapters are encouraged to make Voices &
Visions available to their members and friends at weekly liturgies and
