Dignity Chapters
Encouraged to Act!
In order
to express our outrage at the Vatican's most recent attack on Sr. Jeannine
Gramick, Rev. Bob Nugent and their ministry to the GLBT community, Dignity
Chapters are encouraged to participate in visible and prayerful action.
If you are organizing a prayer vigil, protest or other activity in your
area, please call the DignityUSA office at 1-800-877-8797 to let us
know the date, time, location and nature of the action. New Ways Ministry
can also help, by providing contact information and mailing lists of
people who may be interested in supporting such actions. New Ways Ministry
can be reached at 301-277-5674.
National Board
Meeting
By the
time you read this edition of the Dateline the National Board of Directors
will have met in Washington D.C. for their summer meeting. Look for
a report on the meeting in the September Dateline.

Convention 2001
How time
does fly. In less than a year our Dignity family will be gathering again
for our reunion and rejuvenation. The Chicago Convention should prove
to be a most exciting one and the future of Dignity will figure prominently
at this convention. For some this will be a return to the Windy City
as Dignity held its 3rd Convention in Chicago September 1975. Plan now
to be a part of this event and mark your calendars. The Convention will
take place during the first week in July, 2001 at the Westin Hotel on
N. Michigan Ave. In addition to the convention itself, there is a lot
to see and do in Chicago. Hope to see you there!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
