DignityUSA and our Equally Blessed partners recently wrote to President Obama, expressing support for his decision not to support DOMA in federal court, as well as other Administration actions that affirm LGBT equality. The letter highlights the fact that the President's actions are in line with the beliefs of the majority of American Catholics, who increasingly support LGBT people and families.

Catholic Reform Leaders Call for an Inclusive Pastoral on Marriage

At its annual fall meeting from November 16 19, 2009, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is expected to review a new pastoral letter pertaining to marriage. Gay Catholics Welcome Bishops' Study on Sexual Abuse - No Link between Orientation and Abuse

 Nov. 18, 2009--During their annual meeting this week in Baltimore, the US Catholic Bishops reviewed a preliminary version of a study they commissioned on the reasons for clergy sexual abuse. The study by John Jay College of Criminal Justice researchers found that being gay had no correlation to the sex abuse scandal that has rocked the U.S.
