1Between 1972-73, Pat Allen served as Chapters' Chair with responsibility for overseeing all chapters outside of the Los Angles area.

2 National Secretary Carla Kaesbauer served as Acting National President between the resignation of Walter Kay in late 1977 and the election of Paul Weidig in the Spring of 1978.

3 On September 29, 1987, Jim Bussen Resigned for a day so that National Vice President Elinor Crocker could temporarily assume the duties of President. Elinor thus became the first person in Dignity's history to hold all four national officer positions: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

4 Mary Louise Cervone resigned effective July 4, 2002, and Vice-President Patrick T. McArron became President.
